Climate Solutions at the State Level with Joel Creswell, Department of Ecology
Join us for the Madrona Institute's first installment of the four-part Climate Solutions Speaker Series in collaboration with Friday Harbor Labs, taking place on Thursday, September 14th at 5:30pm. This first event, “Climate Solutions at the State Level” will feature Joel Creswell from Department of Ecology. He will discuss state policies and plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and highlight the Clean Fuel Standard and Climate Commitment Act.
All talks will be free to the community and will be hybrid, held in-person at the Friday Harbor Labs Commons and streamed over Zoom. RSVP is appreciated.
The Madrona Institute and University of Washington Friday Harbor Labs is proud to elevate climate conversations through the 2023 Climate Solution Speaker Series. This series will focus not only on identifying the problems but also on presenting viable solutions that span from the federal level to individual households, all aimed at drastically reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
To further minimize carbon emissions associated with travel and foster local community engagement in climate solutions, Lopez Island will host live streaming events of these speaker series at the Lopez Island Library.
